Shawn Humes (Owner & General Contractor)

Shawn Humes is a licensed contractor, and Concord Construction is fully insured. All subcontractors and employees of Concord Construction are covered by Workers’ Comp.

Shawn Humes, Owner of Concord Construction in Reno–Sparks, Nevada, has over 25 years of local building experience. A Licensed General Contractor and father of two, Shawn is involved in his community and local schools.

Experience that spans commercial, residential, and land development

Shawn began his professional career working for the Local Laborers Union, focusing on commercial construction. He was involved in the Wells Avenue Overpass rebuild, renovations on the Veteran’s Hospital, many schools, other hospitals, and miscellaneous commercial projects.

He eventually moved into the residential construction industry as a Customer Service Technician for a new home builder in the area. As his experience grew, he moved up the ranks to Superintendent for a larger new home builder in the Double Diamond area of Reno. Later, Shawn became the Construction Manager for a builder in the Somersett area. After completing several neighborhoods, he moved into land development as well.

After earning his Associate’s Degree in Construction with an emphasis on Management, Shawn got his Contractor’s License and opened Concord Construction.
